I am an avid crafter and struggle to stay organized, so I thought this would be the perfect place to share tips and tricks that I have learned. I have raised 3 kids, and owned several houses over the years, and each of them required some creative organization solutions. We have rearranged our current house quite a few times over the past 9 years as our children’s needs changed (two of them are adults now).
I moved 30 times between kindergarten and high school so I always dreamed of owning my own home. Once we bought a home, the freedom to remodel, decorate, and make it our own was intoxicating… and I may have overdone it a bit. Being creative also has a dark side as my house tends to get cluttered as I run off to the next fun project. Watching HGTV shows and following other blogs has often made me feel inadequate, since their “before” pictures never look quite as bad as mine. I intend to be real here, even if it is embarrassing at times.
I plan on posting ideas, inspiration, challenges, and the stories behind several of my projects (both questionable and satisfying). Follow along on my journey and hopefully you will find something that will resonate with you.
Owning a home and building a life in it has been one of my biggest passions. As my kids have grown into adults, I have steered that passion into helping them find homes as well, resulting in me acquiring my real estate license along the way. It has been a wonderful transition. My previous career in software development has allowed me to really leverage all the new technology at my fingertips, into an amazing new career. I have joined the Windermere Seattle – Northgate office and an amazing, experienced team Under the Pink Umbrella!
