Join us for our Winter 2023 Crochet-along
At this time of year as the days get shorter and the holiday stress can add up, I thought it might help to do something more fun. I will be releasing a new crochet pattern for the first 24 days in December. Although this may be more of a Christmas tradition, the items created will be more winter-themed to be the most inclusive. These items will be on the smaller side and low-sew to make them easy to complete each day.
Hi, I am Kim and I have been crocheting for over 50 years, and truly enjoy sharing my love of crochet with others. Currently, I am enjoying making fun little amigurumi critters, but I have made everything from intricate crochet lace dresses, to giant rope playgrounds, and of course afghans.
We meet monthly on the 3rd Thursday from 6-8pm at the Hollyhills Clubhouse – downstairs (19200 Hollyhills Dr NE, Bothell, WA 98011).
Whether you are just getting started or are a long time crocheter, this guild is for you.
Our meetings will have a fairly casual structure:
- Show & Tell (things we are working on, or proud that we finished)
- Tips & Tricks (we will try to have at least one new tip or technique to explore at each meeting)
- Social stitching time (use this time to get help with something you are struggling with, or just find motivation to get through your pile of in-progress projects)
- Door prize (each meeting will have a giveaway item, and a custom sticker)
We have a Facebook group that helps provide a community to share our projects and other local events. I find it is very motivating to see what everyone is working on between meetings.
We are an official chapter of the Crochet Guild of America.
I seem to have projects scattered all over my house, and don’t always remember what I have started, or where I put my supplies. As I have been trying to do better with this, I am finding that having one source to find my ideas, project plans and patterns is helping, so I thought I would share it here with you:
